What does limited stock mean at Target?
Inventory status of “Limited Stock” means that the retailer is reporting an item quantity of 1 on hand. This last remaining unit is oftentimes a display model of the product and therefore may not be available for sale. Occasionally a retailer may indicate "Limited Stock" for high demand items as well.
Limited availability shows up for 1 or 2 in stock. It shows up as Orange as like a warning cause it's within margin of error at that point you can call and ask if it can be located.
Limited stock: Items that have quantities of 2 items or less. On Display to Order (ODO): Items that are displayed in-store, but not immediately available for purchase: Such as large furniture items, or different sizes and colors of a display model.
Limited stock is a term generally used when a particular product available in a store for sale or distribution is low, where little or very few units are left. While shopping online we may see the phrase limited stock associated with some products, meaning the quantity of the product available for purchase is low.
Keep in mind, quantities are limited and availability changes quickly. As a result, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of production information. We recommend calling the store to confirm availability.
In my experience, this means that the stock showing in inventory is low enough that the store has probably run out. There may be one or two still showing on inventory if it is a fast moving item, with no confirmation that the store has run out.

A wash sale is not illegal—there is no wording that states you cannot sell a security and purchase a substantially similar one 30 days before or after the sale. The rule only makes it so you can't claim a loss on the sale in that year's tax filing.
